The very limited supply of this plant serves to create a aura of mystery and in this case, wow, it is worth waiting for; foliage of a lovely chocolaty purple sets off fragrant white flowers. Small stature, precious blossoming, and pest free nature all lend a high degree of usability to Japanese Snowbell.

A stunning addition to Magnolia collections and another introduction from breeders Felix and Mark Judy. It produce magnificent, 6 inch golden-honey, goblet-shaped flowers almost tulip-like, in early spring. Honey Tulip is an upright smaller tree growing to a height of 12 feet, making it suitable for smaller gardens or featured in a larger landscape plantings.

Bred in New Zealand by leading magnolia breeder Mark Jury, Burgundy Star™ has large (up to 5inch diameter) gorgeous claret red, lightly fragrant blooms which cover the tree in early Spring. They seems to be exceptionally long lasting and the color is stable. The blooms cluster along the stems all leading to a very luxuriant look. As a 10 year old tree it grows up to 11 feet in height and 11.5 feet wide.

A newer introduction from Talon Buchholz, it has attractive red purple leaves with black veins in spring. The colors are intense and the new leaves almost glow before they age to red in summer and then intense red and orange in autumn.

With small, startlingly blue tinted foliage and modest stature, features not previously available commercially in an oak, Dolores River Southwest Heritage Oak™ is very desirable. The autumn change from blue to red-mahogany comes very late, November or December. It broadens the market for small trees by reducing the shortage of oak trees which can be grown without high maintenance costs in the arid West. Appropriate for small sites, arid locations and alkaline soils which cause many oaks to suffer chlorosis because of its region-adapted rootstock. This grafted form will grow with a single stem to 15-18 feet tall, with a 15-foot spread. It could easily be grown as a low branched spreading tree.

Cameo is a sister seedling to Cleopatra and is the latest release from the New Zealand Magnolia Grove breeding program of Vance Hooper. A stunning bloom with a sculpted form like a cameo broach. Reddish purple exterior with clean white flushed red-purple interior. Cameo has exceptional flower power, second only to Genie for freeness of flowering. The high rate of flower production both in spring and summer keeps the plant as a small tree with a compact habit.

Tinker Belle is a really beautiful Magnolia and we expect it to be in big demand. Fast growing it blooms well on young plants in the nursery. The buds open to numerous dark magenta, 3" upright flowers with pale pink interiors and a very sweet fragrance. Small in stature it will make an excellent specimen for smaller gardens, container culture or a shrubby boarder. The plants set buds readily in the nursery and the color and fragrance are unique attracting a lot of interest in the garden center. In Europe it is sought after for cut flower production.

This is another Ray Jackson section for very dark purple foliage which, in the right light, appears black even in our cool Oregon climate. It is going to bring a lot of excitement to this market and will create great value for the garden center trade. Lavender flowers. Supply is very limited.

While Ragin' Red has the darkest red floral bracts of any C. florida it also has very dark red leaves, here in Oregon, nearly all summer long. Fall color is again red. So it really is in a red rage from spring until leaf drop.
