Very compact, to only 4 ft. tall; an abundantly flowering selection from the US National Arboretum - Dr. Sandy Reed in TN. Flowers held erect, emerging white and aging to an appealing light pink. Extraordinary plant!

Another USNA introduction - a cross of 'Snow Queen’ and ‘Pee Wee’. The upright, 9 in. inflorescences come out white but very quickly develop a pleasant rosy hue. To only about 3.5 ft. tall, it fits neatly into today's compact multi-family housing landscapes.

Common fiddleneck is found in both wet and dry prairies and has bristly hairs on the foliage. The large, elongating flower stems are bright orange and curl at the ends (like the head of a fiddle). The seed is a favorite food on our native goldfinches. It does best in disturbed habitats and areas of low competition.

This small, decumbent native annual is found in the vernal wet areas. It has bright blue flowers and blooms early-summer most often with other annuals such as popcorn flower and monkey flower.

Native across a broad range in the eastern US, it is consequently variable in leaf form, size and growth rate. Our seedlings are of Missouri source. This patriarch forest tree is best for parks and large, open landscapes.

Although the flowers are not brightly colored, this plant in the waterleaf family attracts a wide-variety of native bees making this a must for both upland restorations and native gardens. The flowering stems elongate as they mature with new flowers opening in long succession in mid-summer. Found in dry, rocky habitat at low and high elevations.

Another remarkable release from the U.S. National Arboretum's shrub breeding program in McMinnville, Tenn. in 2013 for which they should be rightly proud. Blooming a week later than other sections and holding its mature inflorescences even longer it really extends the season. The inflorescences are 9 inches long and age to pink while the plant grows to 6 ft. tall by 9 ft. wide.
