Selected and named by Earl Culley, the original plant was planted sometime in the 1830s by an German immigrant family along the old National Rd in rural Norwich, OH. Still growing strong and is easily hardy to minus 28F; with 180 years of weather records we have solid evidence. It is one of the hardiest selections of pond cypress.
